The Shiv Temple (Mandir) is located in the No. 11 Village, also known as Woodley Park on the West Coast of Berbice. This edifice is one of the oldest Hindu temples in the country. It may have been built in the late 19th century by one indentured servant and was restored circa 1902. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu God, Shiva. The Mandir consists of a single room with a tower (shikhara) over the sanctuary area. In 1977, the National Trust of Guyana aided the Restoration Committee of the Shiv Temple (Mandir) with restoration works for the continued preservation of the temple.
