Historical Background / Description:
The Linden Museum of Industrial & Socio-Cultural Heritage is housed in a building formerly called the Recreational Hall. It is located on Co-op Crescent Street, Mackenzie. This single-storey structure was built in 1925 and served numerous functions such as a dancehall, cinema and a general meeting place.
The building housed the museum after the latter’s establishment in 2006 during the Linden Town Week activities. It was established by the Region Ten Tourism Development Association. The museum displays miniature replicas of trains and factory buildings along with artefacts, journals, newspapers and photographs.
