Historical Background / Description:
Camp Street Koker is located on Camp Street, (opposite Cowan Street), in Thomas Lands, Georgetown. It is believed that the koker was built in the 19th century and was used to irrigate Plantation Thomas. The koker was then rehabilitated incorporating concrete gallows posts and improved lifting gear by the British Government circa 1938.
