Historical Background / Description:
The Bartica Centenary Monument is located on First Avenue, Bartica within close vicinity of the Bartica Bandstand and the Monument of Hope. It was unveiled in commemoration of the centenary anniversary of the community by Senior Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Jeffrey Thomas, on November 30, 1987. The Bartica village Ordinance was established in 1887.
