Historical Background / Description:
Bartica Independence Arch is located on Third Street within the vicinity of the Transports and Harbours Wharf. It was erected circa 1990 and designed by Mr. John Rafferly. The monument at the shoulders consists of a pointed arch that rises in a stepped configuration to meet a semi-circular arch at the top.
