The National Trust of Guyana under the auspices of the Ministry of the Presidency, Department of Social Cohesion, Culture, Youth & Sport announces its intention to erect the following commemorative monuments, representative of Guyana’s diverse history and culture.
- Portuguese Arrival Monument
- Ruimveldt Massacre Monument
- 1823 Demerara Revolt Memorial
- Chinese Immigration Monument
The design for these monuments are to be selected through a free and open competition for the erection of each monument shall be effected from the specifications in the designs selected as winning entries.
