Historical Background / Description:
The Anna Regina High Bridge is located in the town of Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast in the administrative district of Region two. The bridge is believed to have been built by the Dutch. It was constructed high enough to allow sugar punts to pass under it. These punts took workers to the dam and then sugar cane to the factory located nearby.
